nuclear program. six world powers including the u.s. and russia have a plan. and they're going to present it to the iranians in talks next tuesday. the goal is to offer serious economic incentives in exchange for iran's shutting down uranium enrichment facility and surrendering the stockpile of urani uranium. we have details of this new proposal. what's new about it? i know last year they tried to do this and they didn't go for it. what's new here? >> that's right. it's been about a year since the u.s. and the partners sat down with iran over the nuclear program. they've been making a good deal of progress on the developments since that time. so they're sweetening the pot, so to speak, and asking more of ire ran in return whether they sit down next week in kazakhstan. in exchange for easing the ban on the trade of gold and precious metals to iran and some nuclear fuel for peaceful purposes, iran must close its enrichment facility at a plant that is underground. the longer iran keeps this underground facility open and becomes more difficult to stop them militarily from having the uranium n

, according to the u.s. coast guard they're probably less than 50 miles away from mobile right now. that might sound pretty close, but it's probably going to feel like an eternity before they get here. there was a flurry of activity last night with helicopters delivering new supplies to the ship and some new generators, so that sort of implies that they might have some means to have more electricity on board and everyone to have perhaps more food and more water before they get here. but once they do arrive here, that's when things are going to start moving relatively quickly for the 3100 passengers on board. here the plans have already been made to have buses waiting for them to take them back to their cars in galveston, texas, so they can drive right home tonight if they want to or they can take them to a hotel where you can bet there will be plenty of people anxious to get to that first hot shower they have had in quite some time. you think about this, soledad, this ship was supposed to arrive in galveston, texas, on sunday. they're now 500 miles off course and five days overdue. >> or they

clark, the court system in south africa appears quite different than that here in the u.s. i mean, this bail hearing looks like a trial, and because of that, the prosecution has had to show their evidence very early, almost immediately. you say that's a real disadvantage. >> it's a problem. it's a problem, jake. the prosecution has only just gathered the evidence. let's remember this only happened a few days ago and it takes a while for everything to shake out. it takes a while for us to know what the evidence tests out to be. we don't even know if it's really testosterone that was found in his house. we don't know what, if any, blood results from pistorius himself are and whether he was under the influence of testosterone. we don't know so much. yet they're being required to put it all forward very quickly in this hearing. i can see where things are not quite as tight as they should be. i agree with mark that certain things did fall apart today, and the fact that they were not wearing protective covering on their shoes is a loss. how big a loss remains to be seen because if the f
